the mall at johnson city let children decorate cookies from the great american cookie company as a father's day "card"

lara's family came to visit, girls went shopping, kate napped, guys played golf, then we had a bridal shower for josh and lara..s0 it was a busy day...

etsy goodness

i have been obsessed with etsy for awhile now....here are some of my most recent purchases!

after i already decided to buy this awesome amy butler patchwork bag, i realized it was called the"kate patchwork"...perfect!

this is my all-time fave fabric -cherry wallflower- from amy butler...it is discontinued, so i have a few yards that i am super stingy with...

this seller made this little zippy bag just for me, i needed something cushioned and tiny enough for my ipod shuffle...it is so perfect (and adorable)!

this was kate's easter dress...i really don't need to say more...precious right!?!?

this is by far my fave thing i (or my hubby) has bought from etsy...it is called the mamma bird necklace...the wing represents a baby bird...*sigh* kate's name is on the back...i wear it almost every single day! love love love it!

we were shopping at gap a few weeks ago, and kate spotted these shoes...she said "mamma wook."...of course, these are the ones she likes....so i thought, why not, they are on clearance...

...on clearance for 17.99...seriously?!?!...so we made a mad dash out of gap with a hysterical child screaming for the shoes...

yesterday, i went to the mall all alone...i thought i would check to see if they still had these shoes and if they were cheaper...and they were marked down to 6.99...

so, i got them for kate...

she laughed and smiled and showed everyone her new shoes...i even let her wear them to church last night...i guess it's the little things...i really don't hate them as much as i once did!

shortcake sippies

i love big lots...you never know what hidden treasure will be there. i found these awesome strawberry shortcake sippy cups for 3.00. i was so pumped. it reminds me of when i was little...i love love love these cups!
